This Instant Urea Breath Test is a rapid diagnostic test (20 mins) used to identify infections by Helicobacter pylori, a spiral bacterium implicated in stomach causing problems like gastritis, gastric ulcer, and peptic ulcer disease. You will be given the result on the spot.
So no more fasting from midnight or no brushing teeth as well as no water after waking up before doing the test.

Women's Health Check - Pap Smear/Cervical Screening Test
With our strong Female Doctors' team, Bangor Medical Centre is equipped to offer Cervical Sampling Procedure (previously known as Pap smear).
We can provide a standalone Bulk Billing Cervical Sampling (previously known as Pap smear) procedure or a privately charged (with medicare rebate) Comprehensive Women's health check.
As of December 1st 2017, the Pap smear test will be called the Cervical Screening Test. The duration between tests is now every 5 years instead of 2 years as the test is more accurate. Women aged 25 to 74 yrs who are currently or have been sexually active should undergo this screening when they are next due for a Pap smear. This includes women who have had the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine. When the doctor collects the smear the process is still the same; the sample medium is now routinely a liquid that is tested for HPV (the virus that causes cervical cancer). The test is a procedure to check the health of your cervix. It feels the same as the Pap test, but tests for HPV.
Anyone who engages in genital skin to skin contact with a person of any gender can be infected with HPV. Remember, having HPV does not necessarily mean that you or your partner have been unfaithful.
Love yourself, make sure your woman's health check is up to date.
Call our friendly reception team for more information and to book your check up today on 8582 1318; alternatively you can book with any of our female doctors online for your convenience!
